Santa Cruz small business office is looking for a part-time Receptionist / Office Admin. Asst. to work 8:00am-1pm shift 4-5 days per week, Mon-Fri.  

Network Management Solutions is a group of hard-working-fun-intelligent-Techies who service the IT needs of clients from San Jose to Monterey. Our helpdesk staff is busy talking on phones or emailing our clients to keep their systems up and running while our project management team works together to get jobs done on time - while assessing when clients may have an urgent need that requires reprioritizing the schedule if a distress call comes in.

Our open office space works well for collaborating on clients tickets, while there is music playing in the background and Ollie our office dog wanders around to get a pat on the head every now and then when he's not napping under the CEO's desk, This is a fairly quiet office environment that runs at high-speed 8-5 Monday-Friday, (with plenty of free hot & cold caffeine!)  keeping everything moving in a forward direction is everyone's job.  The best perk about our company is it's the nicest group of people in Santa Cruz, who all enjoy helping each other when they are not helping our clients' systems run smoothly.

The CEO is very energetic and forward thinking.  He bought the company after working here for several years then graduating from UCSC.  His helpful nature and passion for computer technology is why he's been successful and our clients love us.  Working to help other small businesses succeed is what we do, taking pride in our work,  we are all invested in the success of the business.

We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Receptionist/Office Admin. who likes to create organized workspaces for all to use, has knowledge of basic office software skills and can get their work done independently. At the same time, always keeping an eye and an ear on the pulse of the business,  making sure the team has what it needs be it a call back from a client or an urgent package that needs to be tracked online through a shipping company right down to when to order more coffee and bathroom supplies!

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook Mail, Excel & Word
  • Motivation to learn new software to complete data entry tasks or help on various projects
  • Friendly Customer Service voice for assisting incoming callers, forwarding calls or taking detailed messages to IM.
  • Welcoming visitors at the front desk to help them or announcing them appropriately
  • Maintain and create simple administrative systems and processes, bring efficiencies to the office where needed and be creative in problem-solving when necessary
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize duties,  from receiving incoming mail or packages to ordering office supplies while answering the phone
  • 1-2 years office receptionist experience with basic office administration skills required
  • Can work independently on most tasks yet is humble enough to ask for help to be efficient with time
  • High School diploma or completion of GED with proven software skills
